In the short lived era of DIVX home theater, my father accquired a player and about 50 movies. I am now in the possession of the previously mentioned quantity. As the player is no longer operable and the original scheme to corner the movie market failed (miserably). How can I play them? I noticed that this forum is not very popular. ANYONE OUT WHO CAN HELP?

Welcome to the forum!

There's no way to play those discs that I'm aware of, and their only value is as curios. (Some sell them on eBay as such.)

These days, Netflix and Slysoft are the favored route to "an affordable home video collection."

Did you ever have any luck in the last nine years or did they end up in the trash?

No, I haven't come across any way to view the discs. As for the discs themselves, I kept them as curios.
